Meet the professionals at Hillels of North Texas
Melissa Duchin, Executive Director
Melissa Duchin, a Dallas native, is in her fourth year at Hillels of North Texas as executive director. Previous to Hillel, she worked at Temple Emanu-El Dallas, creating a vibrant young adults community for 20s and 30s. Melissa loves working in the Jewish community in her hometown and has been an active leader in different facets of the Dallas Jewish community since her high school days in USY. She currently serves on regional board of ADL. A graduate from Washington University in St. Louis, Melissa brings almost a decade of professional experience to Hillel from marketing and market research to engagement and fundraising. When she is not engaging in Jewish life on campus, you can find Melissa at improv classes or playing an endless game of fetch with her dog Jordie Benn.
Jen Weintraub, Program & Engagement Director
Jen Weintraub is originally from Los Angeles, California. There, she attended New Community Jewish High School, which sponsored her trip to Poland on March of the Living. As the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, Jen found this trip to be especially impactful. She started Hillel on her campus at Manhattanville College in Westchester, New York and became a strong advocate for Jewish life on campus. Jen majored in International Studies with Middle Eastern Concentration and minored in Jewish Studies, graduating Summa Cum Laude and with honors. Jen comes to Hillel from StandWithUs, where she spent the year teaching her peers about Israel. She is excited to start a new adventure with Hillels of North Texas!
